When we first visited the site, the original “strategic” position of the house gave us the instant big ideal that we need to introduce additions and massing insertion to the empty front lawn and rear lawn, while the existing house shall be kept as the “core” for the overall layout that links the newly extended main spaces such as entrance foyer, living, outdoor dining, pool and master suite at upper level.
Our main intention is to introduce new architectural elements to the “core” of the house. From the main street, we had introduced a whole new glassy Living Pavilion with the aluminium fix glass which the double heights space can be revealed internally & externally through the detailed corner glazing. There were also intense resolution of junctions between old & new forms as well as the finishes which can be seen from details such as, the main stair, perimeter terraces for upper level, entrance canopy and the “bridge” that leads us to the Master Pavilion.
The front entryway is a swing door, made of thick tempered glass and aluminum. The last highlight for this house is the North facing private garden and Master Pavilion. At Ground level, the occupants of the house can escape through premium quality aluminium folding door and enter into a quite private rear garden that consists of a large lawn, covered terraces & sun deck. At upper level, the Master Terrace at Master Pavilion offers a panoramic view to the Ampang Green Reserve and beyond by elegant aluminium sliding door.
